Happy Christmas!

As we approach the end of a difficult year, we would like to take the opportunity to thank our staff, the fantastic rescues and charities who work with us, as well the local authorities who have lent their support to us. The constant and hard work of these great people meant we have again achieved a high rate of re-homing dogs coming into our care.

Covid-19 has been very disruptive for us all, and for safety reasons we have had to closed our kennels to the public, and to our teams of volunteers who used to give their time to the walking our residents! Throughout the pandemic, we have engaged with a specific team of staff to ensure all dogs are walked daily, and continued to successfully care and re-home the dogs through other avenues and rescues. This will continue over the Christmas period and our teams are rostered throughout the public holidays.

Our website has been updated and we are ensuring that it is updated regularly. We have received many responses to the dogs shown on it and again has ensured many of our visitors get reunited with their owners.

Finally, to all those who continue to support us, we thank you. Over the past few months there have been several attempts to discredit our service and the work that our team here at Ashton Pound do on a daily basis. We work closely with our Local Authority partners, and the Gardai on a daily basis and will continue to do so into 2021.

Have a happy and safe Christmas, and a happy New Year.
